Dungeoness Spit National Wildlife Refuge

We had a wonderful sunny day, even though the sky surrounding the spit was dark and ominous! Must be that the Spit is exempt from the bad weather! We walked out to the lighthouse and toured the lighthouse with the friendly keepers there. We could see the entire spit from the light tower! The air smelled SO good! It was like an air freshener….so clean and crisp! We hiked this at low tide and saw the tide come in as we hiked back. Beautiful hike!
